The disaster here was that #askJPM canceled the Q&A. This served only to empower the hecklers. Social media is a transparent way to engage in the conversation. A better course would have been to engage the hecklers with a diplomatic and professional post, acknowledge the wit and humor in their comments and then move on to some real dialog. Give up on the Q&A only after the hecklers have revealed themselves as petty and mean spirited. Instead, running off with their tail between their legs makes it appear that there is substance to the heckling that they don't want to face in public!!

Kev, they ran off with their tail between their legs because there is substance to the heckling and they don't want to face it in public
