but wasn't this the intention behind the scenes all along, to engineer political union (USE) by means of currency union, knowing that the peoples of Europe would not accept a political union if they were offered it? Plenty of people knew what was going on, both those engineering it and those opposing it. The same is true on the global level ...

Found your blog through a search for Show of Hands who I saw this last weekend at Skegness (read Butlin's) Folk festival and their song AIG Arrogance, Ignorance and Greed.

It was among the best gigs I've ever seen.
