Iang (post: Regulating the future financial system....)

Point 3; Real time data collection will be there in the foundation of future finance, but have a care: you can't do reliable inter-corporate with double-entry. It is a 700-year old intra-corporate accounting tool, and was perfect for the design problems of then, but it is way past its sell-date for modern financial stresses. To make it work for the rigours of inter-corporate modern finance in a globalised low-trust trading world, triple entry is needed. The forces on the transaction are just too severe otherwise.

The Habsburg rulers in Spain were a pretty sad lot. The infamous Habsburg chin was the final nail in a coffin of incompetence, fanaticism and arrogance. They destroyed the line through inbreeding. Cousins married cousins until the last Spanish Habsburg, Charles II, was not only feeble minded, but his jaw was so large he couldn't chew. If you want to see a modern version of the Habsburg jaw, check out Jay Leno.
