Some bankers are little more than gangsters in nice suits, they use an army of lawyers to keep them just inside the law enabling to skirt the intention of the law and amass more profit at the expence of business and the public

100% in sync ...
but may be minimizing cultural aspects of "ignorance and arrogance" (see e.g "this time is different" or "when genius failed") of anglo-saxon dominant cultural set up and related behavior vis a vis financial risks (Hoofstede, Schwartz, Trompenaars and all US main stream economics Nobel prices - eg amazing statement of Merton about himself in Lowenstein book on LTCM socially irresponsible speculators)
